Tydrolyte is a novel, patent-pending electrolyte and a simple, safe, sustainable drop-in replacement for sulfuric acid in lead batteries.

Out performs sulfuric acid:
• Extends operating life
• Reduces hold current, water loss, and corrosion
• Reduces charge resistance and improves efficiency
• Wider ambient temperature operating range

  • Replacing sulfuric acid with a less-toxic material can offer a safer and more efficient manufacturing process – increasing production capacity while lowering production costs

  • Cost burdens in regulation, transportation, remediation, and insurance are also reduced

  • Simple drop-in replacement = no additional capital costs

  • Improves battery life and reduces toxicity of the world’s most popular rechargeable battery

Better performance. Better safety.
No additional capital costs.

  • Why Lead Batteries? It’s simple.
Lead acid batteries are inexpensive, safe, have 100 years of proven history, and are 100% recyclable. 99% of lead batteries are recycled in the U.S. and Western Europe, making it the world’s most recycled product.
  • Lead acid batteries comprise a $36 billion market with over 400GWh of batteries produced annually.
  • Tydrolyte can be adopted into lead battery manufacturing without additional capital costs.
  • With Tydrolyte, lead batteries perform better and are even safer.

"We are delighted to welcome Tydrolyte into membership of the ALABC and strongly support technical innovations such as Tydrolyte that may improve lead battery performance."

~ Dr. Boris Monahov, PhD, Program Manager at the Advanced Lead-Acid Battery Consortium (ALABC)

Tydrolyte has been successfully tested to perform in a wide variety of lead battery products, including flooded, AGM (Absorbent Glass Mat) and bipolar. It can be used in all lead battery applications including:
